The article examines personal-data protection in the practice of Polish research universities. The detailed analysis concerns, i.a., legal provisions regulating this process and detailed activities undertaken by research universities towards its implementation. Emphasis is placed on implementation of the right to personal-data protection and access thereto in the context of the application of the public-interest clause. The work contains the results of research carried out at all Polish research universities and conclusions drawn on the basis of their analysis.
